Dropkick Murphy's blend of punk and traditional Irish music creates a brawny mix of sounds, styles and cultures. The Dropkick Murphy's formed in South Boston in 1995. Dropkick Murphy's have covered bands such as the Clash, Stiff Little Fingers and AC/DC. They have performed at Anti-Racist Action Group benefits and at the Unity Festival, organized to promote racial harmony. Their reworking of "Tessie" (the Boston Red Sox anthem) became the official song for the team's 2004 World Series run.
